Each year Adidas produces a ‘Finale Ball’ for use in both the knock-out stages and the Final match of the UEFA Champions League. The ‘Finale Wembley 13′ was the 8th such ball to have been released. To celebrate Adidas felt this occasion would lend itself to a series of bespoke prints, which looked to celebrate each ball together with the location of that specific final. I was lucky enough to be approached by Adidas and asked to take on this particular project, which remains my most high profile job to date.
On completion of the project, Alan McGarrie (Global PR Manager for Football at Adidas) was kind enough to give me the following recommendation:
“Steve produced a bespoke set of artwork celebrating adidas’ heritage as Official Match Ball Supplier of the UEFA Champions League, which we subsequently promoted across our global football social media platforms.
