SHEFF WED VS BORO 1909
Steve Bloomer netting for Boro in the 5 – 1 demolition of Sheffield Wednesday back 1909, notice the lack of shirt numbers as they didnt come in till 1928.
THE HOLGATE END (match day version)
A typical Boro E-I-O in full swing, for me it’s a perfect snapshot of how it felt to stand on this terrace.
THE HOLGATE END
Where I spent the majority of my formative years, a big thank you to my friends over at The Football Attic who sourced this image for me.
THE HOLGATE END (again)
BORO VS WOLVES 1992
This match had it all, our captain and first choice keeper ruled out through injury, a bomb scare that threatened to have the game abandoned, a burnt out stand, a sending off, a ten man fight back from a goal down and ultimately promotion to the inaugural Premier League. One of my favourite Boro away days, whenever I look at this pic it reminds me why i miss terracing so much.
