Juninho Illustration

This illustration has aged me, having taken about 6 days to complete (usually about 5 hours). The main problem was trying to capture what it was like to watch The Little Fella in action.

I’d tried numerous shots and angles of him until it dawned on me to stop worrying about the main image and instead focus on the wake of destruction he would invariably leave behind him.

I think the final piece now does him justice, I also wanted to try a different palette this time round, instead of just the usual red and white. Who knows I might even try another Juninho one in our traditional colours but it’ll be a while before i take that on.

Love it. Reminds me a bit of ‘that’ amazing Maradona photo, him with the ball and 6 players just with sheer panic on their faces. Brilliant. I will buy this one. I was just chatting about TLF yesterday to an Aussie mate at work, he was telling me that TLF was his idol….! What a player.

Well here is my greatest Boro player, i was truly blessed to have seen this wonderfully gifted footballer play. In every period he played for us he gave everything, ours was the club that we all know he loved, and it was a fitting tribute that he was on hand to help us achieve our first ever trophy. For this i will always be grateful – Cheers Little Fella
