Early feedback suggests there is some confusion over who’s perspective this one should be viewed from. The silhouette is not that of Stuart Ripley it is in fact the onrushing defender, Ripley is seeing him as a piece of meat and preparing to skin / butcher him.

Perhaps if im having to provide explanations to these illustrations it means they are not implicit enough, but then again i like the fact they are subtle and that i’m not spoon feeding people with standard ‘man kicks football’ imagery. I will carry on and do a couple more than maybe return to the original style i started with.
