Yesterday afternoon I was pleased to find out that I had been nominated for The Shorty Awards 2012. If you are not familiar with them, each year they honour the best producers of short content on social media.

Fortunately my own site had managed to find its way into the ‘Soccer’ category and a small flurry of nominations began to come my way. As my site began to climb up through the ranks I started to think i’d better give it my best shot, so set about coming up with a miniboro campaign poster.

The idea for this one was simple, especially given the name of the awards themselves. I decided to list some key names from the world of football who are, shall we say, vertically challenged. An unintentional by-product of this design was that i thought they ended up looking a little bit like Oscars, which seemed quite apt for an awards ceremony.
